“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
Psalm 127:1 ESV

Interestingly enough we ought to remember each day that God is in control. We ought to remember that things done for self will perish, but things done by God will last. Today is a simple yet profound reminder of vain pursuits.
Glean and understand that there is emptiness beyond the reaches of every pursuit that is not within God’s will. It’s wise for us to embrace the totality of this with diligence. The essence of being complete is not and will not be achievable without the person of Christ. In Him alone we are complete.
So today, may we sharpen our minds and bring a sense of evaluation to our pursuits.
May the person of Christ be our focus!
May the commission be our pursuit!
May the Spirit of God dwell richly!
Brethren, may we go when God says go, stop when God says stop, and may we wait when God says wait.
Futility or Christ — there is no middle ground.

Be Wise
