Faith does not develop in comfortable surroundings.
The losses may have been significant, the burdens may have been heavy, the sorrows may have been unbearable. We may not understand what the Lord is accomplishing, but we are not called to rest our mind upon what is, but rather trust upon who is. Yes, He leads us upon paths we do not know, yes, He leads us upon paths where it seems to snow. Bitter and cold this world may be, but deep — not within — but on Him our hearts and minds lie free. In His hands rest His eternal plan and we walk better together. By His Spirit, we can. So, brethren!
What seems perilous is only through the means the eye can see, but through the greater picture, our faith, though tested and tried, will grow deeper and deeper as we depend on Thee.
