Stay Dependent

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

“Lord you are so good, thank you for - wait what?…But!” - Us

The problem that many Christians face is that we begin in the Spirit, and within our own comprehension we begin to formulate decisions; bound by old habits and what logically makes sense to us. We exhaustively try in our strength to justify, to protect, and to act on our own accord. Through our own accord, we see The Lord moving one way, and then we put the expectation of the outcome on what we see. The expectation should never overrule His leading. Because through His leading, not only is our faith tested and tried, but we grow in relationship to Him.

Like a friend you would come to trust, exceptionally more we ought to trust in the Lord.

Why? Let Him speak for himself

“Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.””

Hebrews 13:5 NKJV

“The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.”

Psalm 34:10 NKJV

“No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy,”

Psalm 33:16-18 NKJV

Brethren, may we lie helpless before the Lord. We are not called to lead our lives, but to live as a living sacrifice. If you have witnessed His faithfulness in your own life, why are you grabbing the wheel? With a contrite heart, repent and ask Him to drive again.

Unless The Lord

We ought to remember that things done for self will perish, but things done by God will last.

Choose to Be Governed

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 NKJV

Helplessness?

Though you may seem foolish in the world‘s eyes, remember guidance, enablement, and power come from the Lord‘s hands

Amen, brother! I needed this. Conviction and encouragement. We should never try to take the wheel out of God's hands. 🙌🏻🙏🏻
