BEHOLD

Writer's picture: CJ HaynesCJ Haynes

From our depths of darkness - within a moment into marvelous light - redemption is not found in mortal man's deeds but in the divine promised Son. Oh, how our hearts should emulate the men and women who desired Jesus for Jesus.

Brethren, there is a grace-filled gratitude that should run across our hearts as we reflect on His perfect atonement.

From the crucifixion to His resurrection, no words can utter such excitement but the very disposition of a lowly heart that clings in utter dependence. In our kneeling, this compelling truth is like bread given to a malnourished soul; like water to parched lips. May our hearts learn to be untethered to this world, and may our Hope confidently rest on our deliverer. In love, nudge others with the greatest proclamation that Jesus is the Christ, oh, our Redeemer, wrapped in swaddling cloths. And as He was promised to come, He is promised to return.
